This pain is often related to your teeth. If you are bothered by jaw joint pain (TMJ- stands for the name of your jaw joint), try these temporary solutions:

  1. Eat soft foods.
  2. Use warm, moist towels over the joint area.
  3. Take whatever you normally take for a headache to ease the pain (as directed-never take more than the label saysÉeven over the counter medicines can be dangerous if taken improperly-even deadly!!!!).
  4. Avoid talking, chewing and clenching as much as possible!

Be sure to call your dentist for attention. This type of pain requires treatment, which should not be delayed. These symptoms can worsen.
